en: In Java Edition, donkeys spawn commonly in meadows in groups of 1-2, and less commonly in plains in groups of 1-3 and savannas individually at light level of 9 or above. 20% of all individual donkeys naturally spawn as babies. All donkeys spawn as adults when using spawn eggs, unless the spawn egg is used on a donkey.[1]
